Description of Services:

MyHealios recognizes the profound impacts of serious mental illnesses (SMI) and Alzheimer's and Dementia (AD) on individuals, their families, and caregivers. While many resources exist for people diagnosed with these conditions, there are very few resources that exist for their families. Barriers have been found that can prevent families from taking advantage of the programs, e.g., scheduling difficulties, can’t leave the house, missing work for appointments, and stigma. MyHealios is an evidence-based caregiver support service that is provided to caregivers via live video conferencing. Caregivers need support and proper training in order to effectively help the patient on their path to recovery. However, access to support or training services is very limited, with options varying from free local support groups to costly sessions with a therapist. MyHealios provides a high-quality professionally-designed psychoeducation and skill training program at an affordable price. We provide this service through a forward-thinking approach incorporating innovative technology and evidence-based clinical interventions delivered by highly experienced clinicians. The National Council for Behavioral Health announced the winners of its 2016 Awards of Excellence! MyHealios will receive the Inspiring Hope Award in the category of "Engaging Family Caregivers in Team-Based Care".

Additional company information:

MyHealios started services for caregivers of patients with Serious Mental Health issues. We're currently completing roll-out of the Alzheimer's Dementia program and will be expending into other chronic illnesses (e.g. MS) and other relevant diseases such as stroke. At the same time we're expanding the coverage of our group of clinicians. We are already covering all the US states but most clinicians are located on the east coast. We're seeking to expand to other areas to have better time-zone and license coverage.
