Tara Sklar, JD, MPH

Professor Tara Sklar is the Faculty Director of the Health Law & Policy Program at the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law and serves as Associate Director of Telehealth Law & Policy at the Arizona Telemedicine Program in the College of Medicine-Tucson. Her research examines legal, regulatory, and ethical challenges at the intersection of technology and healthcare delivery, focusing specifically on virtual care and digital health innovations for an aging population.
 

A nationally recognized expert, Professor Sklar has published her work in leading health and law journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of Empirical Legal Studies, amongst others. She has been featured on major media outlets, including Good Morning America, NPR Science Friday, and MIT Technology Review. She teaches courses on Telehealth Law & Policy, Aging & the Law, and guest lectures throughout the University of Arizona Health Law & Policy curriculum to prepare graduates to better meet the needs of the future legal and healthcare workforce.
