Founded in 2011, Virtual Medical Staff is a full-service telemedicine company specializing in the placement of psychiatrists, neurologists, and hospitalists across the United States. As part of the Jackson Healthcare family of companies, Virtual Medical Staff combines staffing, technology, and telemedicine expertise to provide clients with a turnkey telemedicine solution. The approach that VMS takes in providing physician coverage is different than most other telemedicine companies. VMS takes the time to speak with the stakeholders and build a profile for a "perfect telemedicine provider". With that information in hand, we leverage the recruiting power of Jackson Healthcare to build a dedicated group of physicians, whose size and scope are based on patient volume and customer preference. Collaboration and partnership between the leaders at each client site and the operations staff at VMS drive programmatic success and assure that each program is built to fit the unique demands of each facility. By using dedicated, scheduled virtual physicians, the referring physicians, nurses, and patients build a high level of comfort with the virtual physician. Continuity of care via telemedicine is a benchmark of the service we provide and because of this, our clients and their patients receive a higher level of service and less interruption to daily work flow processes. Additionally, our Joint Commission Accredited CVO will ensure that physicians are licensed in the states where patients are located and will fully credential physicians at your facility.
Virtual Medical Staff will only contract with board certified/ eligible physicians actively engaged in the delivery of virtual care, as appropriate and agreed to by designated members of the administrative team and as consistent with state law and scopes of practice. The administrative and clinical team(s) will have access to either of the Chief Medical Officers, depending on the specialty being discussed. Virtual Medical Staff's management responsibilities would include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following: Manage all aspects of the telemedicine practice and the provision of telemedicine services; Recruit and retain quality physicians to meet the service coverage requirements; Ensure quality of patient services through the development of monitoring and reporting processes; Conduct routine meetings to review strategic issues, operational issues and clinical outcomes; Provide a dedicated Project Manager to oversee the whole program; Ensure appropriate credentialing for physicians; Ensure practice group meets all requirements for relevant regulatory and accreditation bodies; Develop a telemedicine process and work flow plan that ensures the virtual practice is in alignment with the goals and objectives of Leadership; Analyze equipment needs and make appropriate recommendations; Provide all virtual physicians with necessary telemedicine equipment; Provide all virtual physicians with US-based technical support (24/7/365)
