Southern Behavioral Medicine Associates (SBMA) is a mental health multi-specialty clinic serving Mississippi and Louisiana for in person and telehealth assessments and treatments, and Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, New Hampshire, Ohio and Idaho for telehealth purposes. Our main office is in Hattiesburg, MS and satellite offices are located in Jackson, MS Gulf Coast, and New Orleans. SBMA specializes in health psychology services and treating medical conditions such as chronic pain and injuries. We offer assessments and treatments of individuals who are undergoing various surgical procedures and require presurgical clearances, such as for bariatric surgery, spinal cord stimulation (SCS), intrathecal pump placement (ITP), spine surgery, implants, transplants and hormone replacement therapy (HRT). We also conduct specialized assessments for mental health and forensic reasons, such as custodial evaluations, independent medical evaluations, and personal injury evaluations. SBMA offers assessments of general mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic attacks, trauma and adjustment issues. Evidence based assessments are used to determine symptoms and treatment planning, and cognitive behavioral therapy and other therapies with proven effectiveness are used to help patients control symptoms and improve quality of life. We provide telehealth evaluations and treatment to qualifying areas of MS, LA, GA, OH, KY, NH, SC, ID. We use secure and HIPAA compliant interfaces that are easy to use and offer excellent interpersonal experiences to our clients. We have qualified health and pain psychologists on staff, as well as medical social workers that offer these evaluations and treatment. We accept most major insurance plans including Medicare, Tricare, workers compensation, BCBS, and many group health plans.
