Description of Services:

Beginning in 1998 with pediatric cardiology, CareConnect 360--Ochsner's Telehealth program-- helps hospitals, clinics, and patients receive personalized, on-demand coverage for all their healthcare needs. Nearly 100 hospitals and clinics can connect with Ochsner specialists anytime, day or night, using advanced audio/video software and continuous remote monitoring technology for the most critical patients. Ochsner's CareConnect 360 team assesses each hospital's specific needs to develop appropriate telemedicine resources. Ochsner clinicians interact with patients, families and on-site clinicians, helping local health care facilities quickly and effectively treat patients with critical or complex conditions. This reduces the need for costly transfers, ensures continuity of care and helps the hospital avoid upfront capital investments. Direct-to-patient telehealth services for urgent care, primary care, and subspecialty care allows patients to be seen with a greater attention to access, convenience, and quality - giving them the right care, in the right place, at the right time. Ochsner is proud to partner with employers, payors, and industry leaders in telehealth across the Gulf South, and new programs with national and international reach are underway.
