All Linguava interpreters receive a detailed orientation regarding National Standards of Practice and Ethics for healthcare interpreters. In our onboarding process for employees or subcontractors, individuals must attend an orientation training session which includes legal compliance with: Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Personally Identifiable Information (PII), Personal Health Information (PHI), and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). A test is conducted at the end of the training/onboarding session to validate understanding of what has been discussed and trained on. This training is provided at every interpreter onboarding session. Linguava ensures employees and contractors act in an ethical manner through multiple avenues.
