The second in the 2025 Summer Webinar Series on Pediatric-focused Telehealth Services.

The South Dakota EHDI Collaborative, a partnership between the University of South Dakota and the South Dakota Department of Health, has been instrumental in enhancing early hearing detection and intervention services across the state. Currently, the SD EHDI Collaborative operates three teleaudiology sites in high-need areas: Pierre, Winner, and Aberdeen, with plans to open a fourth site soon. These sites address the shortage of qualified pediatric audiologists in South Dakota by enabling remote testing. The primary goal is to improve the diagnostic test rate for babies who do not pass the newborn hearing screening, specifically through diagnostic ABR (Auditory Brainstem Response) testing, and to expand services at these sites to include hearing aid selection and fittings, further supporting early intervention for children with hearing loss and their families.

Who should attend:  Clinic/hospital leaders, primary care providers,  telehealth program leaders, administrators, regulators, and others.
