Developing a Telemedicine Program

This conference is designed to give a broad overview of a variety of telemedicine topics to include:

Learning Objectives

  • Participants will identify areas of medical care for which telehealth is applicable.
  • Participants will differentiate payment policies for reimbursement of telehealth services.
  • Participants will evaluate the business proposition involved in incorporating telehealth into their practices.

Outcome Objectives

  1. Apply telehealth best practices in the clinical integration of telehealth services as applicable.
  2. Incorporate basic financial principles and latest billing policy updates for telehealth business planning.
  3. Incorporate evaluation and assessment metrics for telehealth services.
  4. Apply network and patient data security technologies for telehealth services.
  5. Incorporate virtual etiquette and best practices to effectively communicate using telehealth technology, including cameras, software, and peripheral devices.
  6. Recognize telehealth deliveries and resources that promote equitable access to care.
